I've used this product before and it's great if you have a green water issue. My turtle's shell length is currently about 12 inches and is still growing. She is in a turtle bath, very large, and the water level is kept at about 8 inches. There was algae blooming and it was so green I couldn't even see it! I put something in the filter and made a filter out of an oil container. The water is so clear it's even weird to look at. Now I see my turtle and she looks very happy. It works by removing phosphates from the water on which the algae feed. The price is great, double if not triple the price at my local store. A little goes a long way. So if you have a turtle that lives in the water and you start having problems with green water, make sure you put a mesh bag with that stuff in the filter.
