The footboard keeps falling off, maybe it's just a defective unit

is quite serviceable but the footboard doesn't hold up and scratches the pavement. I had to glue it in place. I'm guessing it's just this block because I haven't seen anyone complain about it in the comments yet. It's also a bit awkward to ride, but that can only be due to the shorter wheelbase than our previous scooter. I wish the steering wheel was a little higher. My tall 9 year old will outgrow this relatively soon.
