Be Careful . Seriously.

I don't usually write a review unless I feel it is needed, and I really don't want to write this, but being a parent I feel I have to.We just got this out of the box. It was rode literally 10 feet, and in my opinion something everyone should know is that this skateboard can be very dangerous.I bought it because of the simplicity of the black/white design and all of the good reviews. To me, it is a nice looking board. Couple that with an excellent experience from another board I bought on here, and I thought I couldn't go wrong.Right off I felt the board loosely packed by Ebay and sure enough, I open it up to see a chip in it, but I can deal with it. I just took a black sharpie and colored it to distract me from looking at it. I think the seller should have Ebay pack their merchandise better. This thing was probably bouncing around pretty good during shipping.Next I begin to ride down the drive way. I get about 10 feet and begin to turn; then the wheel seems to lock up. After investigating what happened, what happens is that when you lean in to turn or do any sort of trick, the deck rubs the wheels acting like a brake. I attached some pics to give a better idea.Immediately you stop and without being aware/prepared you will be thrown off. It is not a matter of if you can ride or not. If you are not expecting to brake, the law of motion wins and innertia throws you off.***** Mom's/Dad's with all of the good reviews, you may ignore my experience, and maybe I just got one with some bad trucks/bushings. I will give the benefit of the doubt, but at least take this experience in to account and test the parts before letting your kid get on it. Check to see that the deck doesn't bite in to the wheels.Anyway, good luck and sorry seller, but I have to send this one back. All in all, this board really is unrideable as is.

Pros
  • Ideal for learning basic tricks
Cons
  • Wheels may not provide enough stability for beginners
