This is my first purchase of a real gaming headset. I used to have an Xbox stereo headset but it was weak and not good enough so I had to give it up. Razer has a direct wireless connection to the Xbox, so there's no more cable clutter. The build quality is excellent and the sound is amazing. I use them with Dolby Atmos on my Xbox and the surround sound is pretty good. It also comes with a cute little retractable microphone that has a red indicator when muted. I don't play many online games (mainly RPGs - ACO, Shadow of War, Witcher, Skyrim, DA, etc.) so I wasn't able to fully test the mic. But in limited testing, I found the sound to be a bit tinny, but still clean. They are quite large but due to the hanging headband design, they don't feel that heavy. The ear pads are also comfortable but tend to get warm after 2-3 hours of use. So I bought the Razer-sold cooling gel earpads, which I find to be more comfortable, and Razer had to supply them as a replacement part. They're designed for consoles, so they don't offer Razer Synapse support and therefore no EQ adjustment option. At least that's what Razer support told me. I like the default sound signature, but a custom EQ would be better. Battery life is around 14-15 hours depending on usage, with the volume set to two clicks below maximum. All in all it was a great purchase!
