We have a macadamia nut farm - we have 144 macaroni trees! We bought a quality nutcracker here at Revain that costs $125 and works incredibly well, but we give away jars of nuts to friends and family and needed a less expensive cracker to give away with the nuts. Well it didn't work at all. PROS: Good looking, modern, well made. CONS: DOES NOT WORK AT ALL FOR MACADAMIA NUTS. And I mean 9 times out of 10 the shell couldn't even crack easily, it wouldn't even move, and 1 time out of 10 it barely cracked but not enough to open it. Definitely don't buy this if you intend to use it on Mac nuts. I'm sure this will work well for softer nuts. As for macadamias, I'd suggest you search for a $125 nutcracker here on Revain that's made specifically for macadamias. It's a lot of money to spend but it works effortlessly - even my 4 year old does it. Don't waste your money on it.
