Description of 🥜 Hiware Heavy Duty Pecan Nut Cracker Tool Set with 4 Picks - Wood Base & Handle for Efficient Pecan Shelling

USES ON VARIOUS NUTS: Heavy duty nut cracker can easily crack almost all kinds of nuts including pecan, walnut, hazelnuts, almonds, English walnut, Brazil nuts, etc. But Not suitable for black walnuts and macadamia. The adjustable thread cone fits the length of the nut, while the grooves trap the nut and prevent it from flying away. NICKEL PLANTED ALL STEEL CONSTRUCTION: Precision machined cracker is more durable and wear-resistant, the appearance of metal coupled with wooden base looks with modern technology, and the firm handle will not bend due to strong force, so you can use it safely. The included 4 forks can help you take out the nuts stuck in the shell. MOUNTED ON THE WOODEN BASE: The solid hardwood base can not only keep the nut cracker stable when in use, but also successfully eliminate the damage caused by the metal construction on the table while it’s as thick as a chopping board. The wooden handle also reduces pain and pressure to the hands. EASY TO USE: Designed with the principle of leverage, just simply push the handle down, the crack of the nut can be expanded quickly to make it break but not damage the nut, which is effective but labor-saving. A GREAT GIFT: It is not only a daily tool used by the family, but also a time-saving and labor-saving tool for bakeries, restaurants, candy stores and others. Meanwhile, it also can be a good gift to family and friends as a Christmas or Thanksgiving gift.

Absolutely normal! by Kitchen Utensils & Gadgets

There is nothing (as far as I know) that can give you a full and beautiful cover. So knowing that, this cracker is pretty good! You need to assess the pressure and the best angle to work, and then you can make decent cuts without using a lock pick. We are happy about it!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not sure

Not as hard as it looks

I was hoping to find something that would stand up to the rigors of cracking a hickory nut. Since pecans belong to the same genus (carya) as other nuts, I decided to give it a try. Total failure. The handle flexed and the nut just laughed. Back to the big rock so I can crack the hickory. They could do with something less potent, like a walnut. I would have deducted more points except that it wasn't billed as "any hickory" just as "walnut" (still a hickory).

  • Confident

Great tool for specialty tools and equipment

Bought based on product review. Based on this review stating it would work for pistachios, I went ahead and decided to give it a try. When I received it I saw that it was adjustable so I adjusted it to fit the pistachios I was saving to try this walnut cracker. It worked great. The first one I tried broke into a million pieces. I adjusted the anvils and the next one cracked perfectly. Spending money on pistachios may seem silly, but I love these nuts and hate having unopened ones. Would…

Always wanted this nutcracker! Great for older people.

My friend who has a walnut tree in her garden gave me a whole plastic bag full of pecans. I had an old fashioned nutcracker but found I didn't have the strength to use it. I've always wanted one of these lever nutcrackers and didn't know where to buy one so I looked on AMAZON and found exactly what I was looking for. I've been using it for a few weeks and find it easy to use and it cracks the whole nut. I cover it with a small towel when I use it to prevent random bits from flying around the…

I am crazy about this product!

When I received a huge bag of pecans from my friend, I had no idea how to get the pecans out of their shells by destroying them. I tried the "soft" approach with an adjustable wrench and then the hard one with a rubber mallet! I've never had to take a pecan out of its shell, so I Googled it. The quickest way I thought of was to ask Alexa for a "pecan extractor". Luckily she understood me and offered me this product. I enjoyed pecans and continue to enjoy them after Prime Shipping got them here…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Sad Equipment

Slowly and carefully! to Nutcrackers

I use this to crack pecans in the shell. The tips/points of each individual pecan must be centered in the round cylindrical pieces of metal on each side, and then it takes VERY great hand strength to lower the "cracker's" hand in order to crack each pecan. I am fit and have good shoulder strength thanks to yoga, pilates, barre and walking with our 3 Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. I still have to press the burglar lever VERY hard for this thing to work! Sometimes he breaks the shell into "shards"…

WILL NOT WORK FOR MACADAMIA NUTS AT ALL!

We have a macadamia nut farm - we have 144 macaroni trees! We bought a quality nutcracker here at Revain that costs $125 and works incredibly well, but we give away jars of nuts to friends and family and needed a less expensive cracker to give away with the nuts. Well it didn't work at all. PROS: Good looking, modern, well made. CONS: DOES NOT WORK AT ALL FOR MACADAMIA NUTS. And I mean 9 times out of 10 the shell couldn't even crack easily, it wouldn't even move, and 1 time out of 10 it barely…
