The main hepa filter seems to be pretty good compared to the dyson filter. It's hard to tell because it's closed, but it looks and feels like the original filter. The sticky seal worked well and was more than needed so I ended up cutting off a piece. Better than lack. My problems come from the secondary filter. This thing is of terrible quality compared to what Dyson supplied. The material used for the filter screen is so thin and feels cheap. The supplied foam filter is also not of the best quality. Dyson foam is at least 2 times denser, which is very important when it comes to the filter. You can easily feel the difference by squeezing them together. I plan to just ditch the secondary foam filter and use the old Dyson I still have. That's such a big difference in quality. I prefer to wash my old one really well because I bet it still filters better. With a bad filter you will most likely get better suction as it will let in a lot more air since the filter is much smaller. I think most people considering this filter are only satisfied with the price, not the quality.
