Review on 🐠 EHEIM 1046 Universal Pump: Powerful and Versatile Water Circulation for All Aquarium Systems by Erica Rogers

For starters, 1046 is about 75 g/hr and for most applications it's too weak to force water through a UV sterilizer. I bought this to power my 18w Coralife UV Steriliser and there was a permanent air pocket in the inlet tube. Tried to burp the device by turning off the power but still couldn't clear a large number of air pockets. In addition, the device was prone to leaks. It didn't drip much, but the floor was always wet. Any movement will cause it to flow more. Some of it came out of the intake and a tiny bubble formed around the o-ring of the impeller's rubber drip seal. I tried calling Eheim but the user manual doesn't list any support numbers. I googled it but only found it while surfing the forums. I then called the number and was told they needed to call me back but they never did. I would not recommend this product to anyone using a tank larger than 10 gallons. I bought a Mahineland 900 and it works great! I managed to turn on my UV sterilizer.
