This scooter is a good size for ages 3+. It was easy to put together and had everything needed to put it together. The base is a good weight so it helps stabilize the rider. What I like best is the scooter's tilt and swivel function, which is intuitive for younger riders. I also like the rubber grips because they protect the steering wheel when kids throw it to the side after playing. Lights are fun but dangerous for my child because he just wants to look at the wheels which causes him to bump into things. I hope your kid isn't as dumb as mine. All in all a very good solid bike!
