Review on HQS Complete In Gravy Wet Cat Food - Grain Free, Flaked - Adult Cats - Pack of 24 x 2.47 oz/70g by Fred Boals

Quality ingredients but overpriced and always sold out

TL/DR: Excellent but VERY expensive cat food. Supply issues make this difficult if your cat isn't already hooked. Also be aware that chicken and cheese are ranked very highly as cat allergens (my vet was confused that they even made the combination). So if your cat has a food intolerance that is causing a harsh taste, no. Details: My cats are very picky. We were doing pretty well with Weruva until Weruva decided to change the composition (and even the texture) of various products without any warning on the labels. Cats no longer like to eat it, they hardly want it to snow anymore. They literally preferred to puke on an empty stomach. And honestly, I couldn't blame them. I ended up spending a fortune on groceries by ordering boxes without knowing the change. Sooo, I tried Almo Nature. The cats decided that they would only like the taste of chicken and cheese forever (one of them ate the taste of salmon and apple for a while but is now indifferent), so this was an exclusive food. I was NOT happy with the small jars and their very high price, but when the other option is to throw out large jars of barely eaten food, there is NO other option. The problem is that this has been the case for a few months. Sold out EVERYWHERE or only available from vendors who charge insane markups on already ridiculously high prices for the amount of food you get. One morning I received an email from an online pet food retailer (not sure if I can name names) that after WEEKS this pet food was finally back in stock. I immediately placed an order. And somehow it was completely sold out again and they couldn't fulfill the order. My last Revain order was also shorted out, although I was able to get at least ONE case. I have geriatric cats (16 and 17 years old) with tender tummies. Accidental food changes are even worse for them than usual; You should always introduce new foods gradually to avoid indigestion. And I don't always manage to keep it in stock because tiny cans don't get very far and I'm lucky if I get even a partial order shipped lately. Until Almo gets her inventory problems under control, I wouldn't risk introducing your cat to Almo Complete Chicken and Cheese or Salmon and Apple (which also sell out all the time). Of course, I don't want or need any competition, but more importantly, I don't want you to be in my place. kittens) will be very unhappy tourists.
