After the Seadoo dealer shocked us with a sticker and told us they had a three week reserve, we decided to replace the magneto ourselves. I found a YouTube video on how to do it and three hours later the water skis were back in the water. The main downside was that Seadoo seemed to go out of their way to make the solenoid difficult to access. It would have taken 15 minutes if I didn't have to perform acrobatics to get on the jet ski for the exchange. Has been working like clockwork for a few months. I don't know how long it will last but for the money you can't beat it and if it needs replacing I will order another and it should be faster next time. Still functional as of June 2017! As of August 2020 still in operation!
