Always use used vacuum cleaners from leading manufacturers. In most cases, only thorough cleaning and the replacement of filters and new belts will help. I am impressed with the performance of the Dyson product and this prompted me to replace the new brush. I have a DC14 full gear model, the parts are very cheap (all bought from Revain), I have registered the machine and asked support questions. I'm pleased with the results, to say the least. Please note that the handheld vacuum has an integrated hose holder that makes it easier to use. The suction power is unmatched by any other large vacuum cleaner I've had. Heavy like old Kirby, but performance takes a backseat. Given the performance, manufacturer support, availability and cost of replacement parts (original and aftermarket), this vacuum cleaner is worth your investment. Another note: the tools included in the box are huge, be sure to include them with your purchase.
