All "conductive" components are painted and fail the basic continuity test, which means you absolutely cannot use the antenna itself. Also, the attachment system is terrible. It uses a Phillips head screw and it's totally impossible to put a screwdriver on the head. I ended up sanding it down for continuity and replacing the bolt with my own double nut hex bolt.
