I used this to repair my noisy guitar. When you tighten down the output jack it is supposed to make contact with the aluminum pick guard shield to reduce/eliminate noise. Apparently, my aged guitar stopped making a good electrical contact there. So, I cut out some of this copper tape, stuck it over the aluminum foil shield and that made a good electrical contact.Another good thing is that you can solder to this copper shield. I soldered a short wire from the shield to the ground on the output jack to ensure I always have a good electrical connection there. Now, my guitar is super silent -- until I crank it up. Woot!
