This is an amazing lighter with long battery life, easy to use and good BUT my 16 and 13 year old daughters say the squeaking noise is so loud it looks like they are popping out of their ears blossoms. That hurts. I think one of the perks of age is that I don't hear that pitch. Our cats or guinea pigs don't seem to mind, just the kids. So I give him a 4, actually I could give him a 5 if I were a more masochistic mother. Unless you have young adults with perfect hearing (not that any of them have impeccable hearing with current headphone use) this is a wonderful lighter and an amazing price. If you have children, use with caution, as a warning, or if you are genuinely unhappy with their behavior. =
