UPDATE: 02/23/22. When I wrote my review, this seller contacted me within 24 hours and expressed concern for my well being. I've personally NEVER experienced that at a company. Second, they were very apologetic that the move wasn't what I expected and quickly refunded my money without the hassle of having to jump through hoops to get it back. This is what I consider GREAT customer service and it means something to me. It's entirely possible that what I received is somehow wrong, that happens with many excellent products. It would be worth a try, especially knowing that the customer service is so good. Just before Christmas I made a 12 hour trip to pick up my granddaughter and bring her home and all her belongings including 2 dogs. I couldn't find a rental car and we had to charge up and hit the road again the morning after I arrived to be back by Christmas Eve. I have a Dodge Journey which packs pretty well but I knew that with 3 people and 2 dogs the rear and roof would get the most use. Trying to climb onto the top load and tie yourself down is a major hassle and I was hoping to speed up the process without killing myself. I was careful but when used on the driver's side the tailgate worked fine. It was solid, although it wasn't just a hook inserted into a metal door hinge, you have to make sure it sits flat. Both of my feet fit on it and it didn't look like they would. The height he gave me was amazing (I'm 5ft 1in)! I went to the passenger side to install/move some stuff from above and no matter how I did it, the damn thing kept popping out of the car. I came in I was about to fall over and throw a 50 pound basket at myself! After the 4th time I gave up, now I'm a little afraid to use it again. Unfortunately, it didn't save the time I was hoping for. .
