The converter on our old motorhome has finally made its mark. One of these has been on my wish list for a long time. Jesus, this works so well. We used to drive into the desert a lot, which made life a lot easier for us. It would also pay for itself at least once by saving batteries if I leave it on for long periods of time. The installation was really very easy and the instructions are excellent. My Winnebago had an extra cable and the colors of the cables were not what I expected (black is battery + and green is battery -). Besides, it was child's play. It fits perfectly and is well marked. No complaints. As I said if I had installed it 10 years ago it would have paid for itself at least once in the batteries saved and who knows how much generator gas I wasted on the crappy old one. If you have hands, I think you can install it yourself and you will not regret it. I recommend taking a picture before you unhook the old one just in case the wiring doesn't match the instructions. from buying it. If you are dry camping at all (boondock) this is a must.
