fine set; a little messy if you decide to keep it in the box
The set has a good set of tools and they seem to be well made. The packaging can be opened and closed and you can put everything you need in it. Only charcoal being charcoal is dusty/dirty and sits in the middle of the scenery. But you could wrap it in thin paper and it wouldn't be that dirty. I think this makes a great gift for a child or a not too picky adult, the packaging should be a little nicer to give to an adult art student as a birthday gift imo. Although it's just a starter kit - for yourself or your student - it's really great.
