This bike carrier is very suitable for normal bikes. Assuming you actually have wall space not taken up by doors, windows, shelves, etc., you should be able to hang six bikes. (You should leave some space between the mounting strips so you can place hooks on the other end of each strip, but it can be done.) The screws are strong enough to hold either wood studs or drywall with anchors. Not sure if the "Fat Bike" tires will fit on the hooks, but everything else should be fine. Resilience is not a problem. I have a bike that weighs over 40 pounds including the rack and bag and nothing sagged when I hung it up.
