Review on 🔋 Sealed Lead Acid Battery Charger - D1724 by Chris Morgan

Unfortunately I didn't do my homework before purchasing. There were no instructions in the box for how long to charge my 12 volt battery. I called my battery manufacturer and asked for advice. I have been told that if I charge this charger for too long I could destroy my battery. "This charger is old technology," they told me. My battery is 7.2Ah. It takes 14.4 hours to properly charge a fully discharged battery with this charger (I've learned it's a 1/2 amp charger). I was told I could charge up to 16 hours, but more could ruin the battery. This charger does not indicate when the battery is charged or turn off - it just keeps charging while the device is connected to the network. I was advised to buy a "3 step charger" which is much safer and will shut off when the battery is fully charged. While this one is rated a "#1 Best Seller" (which is what got me into it), based on what I've learned, I wouldn't recommend buying it. I've decided to return mine and buy one that's safer with smarter charging technology.
