Works like a charm as advertised. Never worry about removing the cork from a wine bottle again. The foil cutter proved very effective as it could be easily removed and replaced with a slot on the corkscrew; Smart! And it was just as easy to take the cork out of the corkscrew once you've taken it out of the bottle. He also worked with natural and synthetic corks. You will never want or need anyone else. CONTINUED: DO YOU MIGHT NEED another one! When I took out the cork after twelve months of flawless use, there was a sharp pop! sounded and a few small pieces of plastic fell out. The cork successfully came out of the bottle and I didn't see any damage, but the next cork I tried to remove caused one of the two bushings inside the handle to fall out as I removed the cork and the spot where the Cork was missing. The plastic pieces they came from were clear: what looked like a ridge holding the sleeve in place in the corkscrew. The corkscrew was inoperative and beyond repair except perhaps by the manufacturer. That's too short a lifespan for an item that costs as much as this one. The one I sent as a gift six months ago still works, but...
