I had two issues with my pole. 1) The clips that hold the flag were not tangle free. They tend to get stuck and the flag would wrap around the pole. I beveled the plastic clips so the flag flies much better and is able to untangle itself now. 2) I purchased a solar light that affixes just below the gold ball. This gold ball screws in at the top of the pole to secure the solar light which illuminates the flag at night. I had to secure the gold ball at the top with some plumbers tape or else the gold ball would come loose then both the solar light and gold ball would fall off. After the easy fixes, we and our neighbors are enjoying the American Flag.Couple of months later I swapped out the flag that was included to an embroidered flag. So much better. The flag hardly got tangled and flew beautifully. So the weight of the flag makes a big difference.
