used these to replace a couple of broken bolts on my 04 5.3l GMC. 18 months and around 22,000 miles later none of them have broken their heads. The locksmith suggested I put them on my lathe and make a notch just under the head to make them easier to remove. If they break, at least one pin will stick out of the head. Tips for Removing Broken Head Bolts - Weld a nut and washer to the broken bolt protruding from the head. If you don't have a welder buy one, it's still cheaper than hiring a mechanic and then you have a welder.
