Purchased to remove traces of wallpaper. At first I thought it wouldn't work, but then I realized that you just have to persevere! Some tips. 1) You need to start with a large chunk - at least the size of a golf ball - so you have something to hold on to while you scrub the wall. And make sure you warm it up so you don't leave flakes on the wall. I started with quarter size pieces and they just fell apart in flakes. 2) Turn on some music and give the spot a song or two before giving up. This is not a magic eraser - at first the difference will be barely noticeable. If I didn't see a change after 2 or 3 songs, I knew this stuff wasn't going to get that spot. But only one had to be given up. 3) If the stain has a slightly shiny surface then it might just be wallpaper paste residue which is easy to wipe away with a damp cloth rather than rubbing all the sweat off the thing.
