I bought this unit with lots of reviews and it did what was advertised, correctly diagnosed the problem I was having and also a possible fix for a 2008 car that I had. That's why it gets 3 stars. Unfortunately I haven't needed it for any of my machines until this week. It's 2018 so the car is 2 years old and the ML629 doesn't read it at all. I went to the website and was very frustrated with the signup process. I kept getting told that I can't log in after a factory reset. my password and even clicked a link to email me my username. He still wouldn't let me. Googling a few different phrases, I found another link that allowed me to go to the website and download the software, only to find out that there were no new updates after 2017. For every vehicle they have listed. Basically the frustration with the website plus the fact that I can't use the device on anything newer than 2017 is why I'm giving it 3 stars. When I went online to write a review, I saw a new "2021 model" with the same model number ML629. My advice is to get a newer version and hope they update the software or buy another device. I went with the highly rated Bluetooth model which was almost the same price and I was very happy with what I saw. I'll leave this block as it's still useful for pre-2018 cars.
