Review on Attwood 1733-4 Blower Bilge 3-inch Water Resistant, White by Michael Robinson

EXACT replacement for my 2003 wakeboard boat bilge fan, includes color coded wires. I installed the fan and before reconnecting the top hose to the fan that exhausts gas vapors overboard, I checked the fan for working order. Worked great except the motor ran in reverse. The fan blew into the engine compartment and sucked air out. Swapped the color coded wires on the fan and it worked as intended, sucking air out of the bilge. The Attwood factory was contacted and they confirmed that the fan was reverse wired at the factory. One can only assume that the others were connected incorrectly. Before completing the installation, verify that the fan is spinning properly. Apart from this small installation error (MAJOR SAFETY FAILURE), the fan gets a 5-star rating.
