So I bought this unit thinking I could use it for hunting and measuring on the hillside. Also, it is offered in camouflage and is intended for hunting. Here's what it will do for you in the field: - This range finder shows you the distance to the target and the angle of inclination. Here's what it WILL NOT do for you: - This range finder does not calculate the horizontal distance to the target. It uses an algorithm to calculate how far you need to hit the golf ball in order for the ball to land near the hole. This is completely different from calculating true horizontal distance when looking up or down a slope. Check out the attached image provided to me by Gogogo to illustrate what a range finder does. In the end, it's not her fault. I just chose poorly without doing thorough research before purchasing this product. I hope this helps someone in the future. However, their customer service is good and they responded within hours of emailing them for clarification.
