Tip: use thermal paste instead of thermal pads I used Artic Silver 5- Dot thermal paste method on each of the chips, and the temperature while idling for 3 hours (see attached photo) in a temperature controlled room (72ยฐF) is a staggering 37ยฐC out of the box at 1.5GHz. Overclocked to 2.0GHz, idle for another 3 hours at 39C. the benefit of it other than gratifying my obsessive-compulsive disorder. The fans are quiet and I am very satisfied with the volume. I looked at various cooling options (e.g. Pimoroni Pad, Pimoroni Heatsink Enclosure and Ice Tower) for the RPi4 and this product features an amazing heatsink with an extremely low profile fan array. As mentioned by another reviewer, this product is new and I can't comment on its durability yet. TO UPDATE. August 2020: I contacted the seller after 2-3 months about the failure of the fans (they got noisy). They quickly shipped a replacement, but another 90 days later, "improved" replacement fans met the same fate. It was a 5 star rating but now 3 stars just because it's a functional heatsink with noisy fans.
