Review on OEMTOOLS 25249 Oxygen Sensor Crowfoot by Jason Tinnen

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Bad landing. Low quality. Too bulky.

I like OEMTools but not this particular head. Both the 7/8 hex head and 1/2 square drive are loose and messy. Also, it's too bulky. I bought this head because the square hole is an 8 pointed star which gives more options for breaker positioning. But the fit is so loose that the drive pin just falls out. There is no stopping or stopping at all. The extra slots in the drive hole keep the detent ball from snagging on the handle stud on the bushing, and the hole is too big and sloppy to begin with. To make matters worse, the 7/8 hex socket that goes over the oxygen sensor is loose and sloppy. This caused the head to tip over under stress, rounding off the corners on the workpiece (see image). For this job, that's bad, bad news! After all, everything is bigger and bulkier than it should be. In my car, the rear oxygen sensor is on top of the cat in the transmission tunnel. There is no room for wrenches or fingers. I put this one on, but a thinner, lower profile head would be better. In the end, the solution for my machine was a 22mm Neiko cone wrench that had perfect tolerances and superior strength (see second picture).

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • I won't say anything
