The panel works well, loaded two different backups (12000 mAh and 5000 mAh), Galaxy Note 2 and Beats Studio wireless headphones. In general, the devices charge quickly (not as fast as a wall, of course), but the charge was sufficient for that extra boost of power needed when camping. my mobile phone. The Note 2, with its 3100mAh battery, really ate backups. I usually use my phone for GPS tracking (My Tracks) and take photos while hiking. If I use it to watch movies and/or music for the kids at camp, it's rated for 2 days usage. For any other use, like emergency calls etc., I have a DC output wind-up flashlight that I use in conjunction with a DC to USB converter. For outings with friends I have a larger flashlight that also has a wind generator that also charges. Wind generators charge about 1-2% of my phone per minute of winding. After about 5 minutes it gets very annoying! The Nomad 7 panel allows me to extend my hike beyond those 2 days and means I don't have to worry. about using the phone for other purposes, such as reading at night when the kids go to bed. The panel means I can charge while hiking and not have to worry about winding up the flashlight for hours on the hike! The Nomad 7 doesn't fully fill my 12,000mAh backup on an all-day charge, but it delivers enough power. to charge your phone from about 10-15% to 100% overnight. As mentioned, when open, the size is roughly the size of a regular 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. The other panel of Nomad 7 has enough hooks for tying. This version can be bound to another panel. Connectors: Nomad Panel In, Nomad Panel Out (it's a small connector, smaller than a 3.5mm jack), a proprietary connector you can use to connect to other Goal Zero products (e.g. Lighter) (DC connection included) and finally the USB connection socket. The storage pouch provided on the back is practical, it allows me to store my USB cables (mini to charge my backups, micro charge my phone directly from the pad or backup) and my two backups. But there is a little more storage space. Overall, the panel works flawlessly in both bright and partial sun. I have no regrets about this panel. I would have liked to try a few other panels but settled on this one and am completely satisfied with this mountaineering panel thanks to its low profile, light weight and excellent charging.
