Description of Maximize Your Power On-The-Go ๐Ÿ”‹ with Goal Zero Nomad 7 Solar Panel!

The Nomad 7 will directly charge most USB and 12V devices (not tablets). Most handheld USB devices, including: Cell phone, smart phone, GPS, MP3 player. Collect 7 watts of solar power from the sun. The Nomad 7 works best with the following Goal Zero products: Goal Zero Switch 8 & 10 Recharger, Flip 10 & 20 Recharger, Guide 10 Plus Recharger, Venture 30, Rock Out Portable Speakers, and Lighthouse Lanterns. Foldable, rugged design, and weather resistant. Use the USB and 12V ports at the same time. The Nomad 7 will split the incoming solar power between the two ports to charge devices simultaneously (Some devices may not be compatible).

Reliable and quality design

Perfect for what I wanted. comes with an attached pouch to store my cables and power adapter. Use the included hanging hooks on the packaging for ease of use and access. You can even connect them together for more wow power

OK But there are better for less money

Two stars for durable design and good size. When I tested it under ideal conditions, the panel didn't put out more than 3.5 watts, which is half of the advertised power. Exchange for a cheaper panel with a higher capacity and an actual power output closer to 15W.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Nothing

Solar and wind target achieved

Just got home from a month long trip and LOVE the new 11800 Nomad V2. I've only used it to charge our GPS, cell phones, digital cameras and Kindle Paperwhite. It packs up very quickly and easily deploys in any scenario. A large zippered pocket made it possible to charge delicate items literally in the rain. fought, worked flawlessly and just never failed.

  • Hard wearing finish

Great product - solar and wind power

I ordered this panel with LED handle and battery. I had so much fun with it. It was easy to set up. As soon as I held the solar panel up to the sun with a stick as if it were connected to it, the light came on. I charged the battery in the sun for about 3 hours and the LED was lit when plugged in. batteries. I'm looking forward to seeing how well this performs in winter lighting, but so far I'm very happy with the ease of use and performance.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers

Great, but don't expect miracles

Great, but don't expect miracles. I have used it to charge my Android phone, portable battery and iPod. It works great BUT it needs bright direct sunlight. In fact, it charged my portable battery in about 8 hours in direct sunlight for 2 days via the Cel Phone network. If it's cloudy it works, but don't expect a huge charge. They have done a good job in terms of durability, design and ease of use. The hinges are ok but I wonder if they will break. They are like a string. I would like strongerโ€ฆ

NOT as soon as announced

I bought this for obvious reasons and am disappointed with the speed (or "lack of speed" I should say. The documents that came with it and possibly advertised on this site indicated that it would fully charge the Goal Zero Switch 10 4 Hours in direct sunlight. That's nonsense! I sat on a chair on the patio in direct sunlight, plugged into switch 10, for about 6 hours and it was about half charged. It also said the smartphone was charging In 4 hours I plugged it into my Samsung Galaxy Ace Styleโ€ฆ

Great product! in Solar Panels

I'm going whitewater rafting in Alaska soon and wanted something to charge my iPhone 5 and Fuji XP70 digital camera. In the attached photo, the panels are connected to my camera's charger. The charger plugs into the car charger port that comes with the Nomad 7. It charges the battery in direct sunlight. I'm not sure how long it will be before the battery dies. I tried charging my iPhone 5 but it didn't work. I bought the Guide 10 Plus to charge along with the pad to charge my phone and otherโ€ฆ

Great travel gear!

The panel works well, loaded two different backups (12000 mAh and 5000 mAh), Galaxy Note 2 and Beats Studio wireless headphones. In general, the devices charge quickly (not as fast as a wall, of course), but the charge was sufficient for that extra boost of power needed when camping. my mobile phone. The Note 2, with its 3100mAh battery, really ate backups. I usually use my phone for GPS tracking (My Tracks) and take photos while hiking. If I use it to watch movies and/or music for the kids atโ€ฆ
