The alembic is easy to assemble and use and works as advertised. I bought a still to distil water and make medicinal alcohol. After washing with soap and water I rinsed it with vinegar to clean it. I poured 1 gallon of water and 1 gallon of white vinegar into a saucepan. After cooking, I kept it simmering for about 30 minutes. All seals worked. The temperature gauge showed 200 degrees but the water was boiling and the distiller washed with distilled vinegar as it should. It still works great. The only complaint I have is that the final outlet tube didn't fit snugly. I used a piece of tubing instead, and it worked better anyway because it was hanging in the collection vessel.
