The alembic is easy to assemble and use and works as advertised. I bought a still to distil water and make medicinal alcohol. After washing with soap and water I rinsed it with vinegar to clean it. I poured 1 gallon of water and 1 gallon of white vinegar into a saucepan. After cooking, I kept it simmering for about 30 minutes. All seals worked. I'd love to give a good review but after first use today I just can't. First, as another reviewer mentioned, the device is very thin and made out of very cheap materials. The condenser legs are crooked, and whoever TIG welded the joints used too much heat and left burn marks everywhere.
