The pack contains instructions on how to carve fish, hence it is marketed as a chef's knife. It's not like this. The silver handle end is hollow hard plastic. Not cast in place. Mine had a 1/8 inch gap on either side that rotting fish couldn't get out of. The blade is also the opposite of "full shank," swinging in a grip just long enough for a three-finger grip. The related American Angler Saltwater 6-inch Filet Knife, a white 6-inch knife, is similarly priced and has a molded, easy-to-clean handle. I just wish they had a shorter one for better control with small fish.
