UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE! Vornado Customer Service contacted me about a faulty device I received from Revain. Vornado wanted to make sure I was happy, so they bought me a new device, but they tested it in their lab first. The technician even recorded test results of +/- 5%, which is what I see with this plugin. Vornado (Sarah CS Supervisor) has proven that they are a consumer-centric company and have done everything to ensure I am a happy Vornado customer. I rate this device 4 stars out of 5!<<<Start Original post: This humidifier is falling apart because it uses a humidistat that is extremely inaccurate. This renders the device UNUSEABLE to use the features advertised by the manufacturer. I will say that it seems normal that most manufacturers use junk humidistats but charge premium prices for their devices. If Vornado had spent a few bucks more to install a quality humidistat versus a cheap, inaccurate humidistat, I would give it 5 stars. The unit's hygrostat reads 15% less than my calibrated hygrometer. I need a room with a 50% discount and since this module only works with the 60% and 15% discount setting, it doesn't work for me. There are other reviews that refer to the same issue and I should have listened to my intuition and not bought this device. Anyway, it's returned to Revain defective! End of original post>>>
