Worked. I had some problems updating the software. The quick start guide mentions a USB cable, but there isn't one. You connect a card reader to your computer (Windows only) and update the card, pop it back into the scanner and you're done. The memory card reader did not work very well (sometimes it was not recognized during the session or was lost). In any case, everything worked out in the end. Using the scanner is pretty easy. I was able to read most of the systems in the car and reset the codes when needed. Resetting the maintenance light is not that easy, there are several ways and which one to choose is not explained. But I still managed to do it on my SL (R230) and Mercedes Coupé (C207). I was hoping it would offer more options for servicing SL brakes (SBC brakes require a special program to flush brake fluid). Either way, this scanner should provide what most people need to service their own Mercedes (or Smart, Sprinter).
