Overall, this monitor meets my expectations. Bought on the day of Revain Prime for >$100 and I would say overall happy with the product. I want to list a few pros and cons and then dive into the settings. I hope I can save some people some headaches. Pros - Excellent response time - Colors are vibrant and the monitor doesn't tire your eyes once it's set up properly - Very easy to set up and connect Cons - It takes a bit of know-how to get rid of that grainy/blurry look of the monitor out of the box . As others have said, the stand is flimsy and wobbles when pressed. Putting it somewhere safe on the desk won't be a problem for many (maybe not a disadvantage for some) Doesn't support a DVI connector / comes with an adapter. The color profile presets are terrible in my opinion, except for reading. As for the monitor quality fix I mentioned, I highly recommend doing some research on how to set up ICC/ICM profiles, which is pretty easy and painless if you're a little techy. Googling the monitor's name + "ICC profile" should yield a profile that won't kill your eyes. I personally used one from DisplayLag.com (search "Viewsonic VX2457 Review") and used some of the settings recommended by the site author to get this display looking amazing. for a decent gaming monitor. Just be prepared to learn a little and push yourself a little.
