Review on BTSHUB 2500Lbs Trailer Polyester Webbed by Ron Long

Purchased to replace a "rope" winch on a boat trailer. Installed normally. Looks good. The rating is much higher than the weight of my boat. The first time I used it (on a laugh ramp) was to lift a boat which broke them (ratchet gears bent). The boat was mostly buoyant and only needed to be towed 4 to 5 feet to attach to the trailer. I had to tie the boat to the winch mount with anchor lines to raise the ramp! The loss of time, use and enjoyment (+ uncertainty and added frustration) was MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE than these POS winches! (Honestly, the blue ratchet strap/webbing and hook worked well). A winch is a tool designed for functional and safe use. That could have had devastating consequences. Unfortunately the manufacturer doesn't offer any guarantees and Revain (which usually has a great returns policy) doesn't give money back within 30 days! 1. Use! ATTENTION, keep your hands off this product! [I am currently using a winch again that is over 20 years old and now (and always works) works perfectly]
