Changing my rating from 1 to 4 because the manufacturer came back to me with instructions on how to reseal the seal. At first I started disassembling the unit but stopped in case there were more problems. When the back is removed it looks like the gasket is longer than it should be, but once it's put back and screwed everything looks fine. I may have stretched it when opening the lid. Cygolite offered to send a new gasket but that was not necessary. I had this experience 3 weeks after purchase and my first charge. After charging, I tried to close the charging port again and found it wouldn't close. The rubber rain/water stop will not snap into place because the retaining threads are not properly installed and cannot be adjusted. See attached photos. I am very familiar with these types of forks and am not a die-hard user. I'm concerned about water ingress when I'm not home and it's raining so I tried contacting the seller who said to contact the manufacturer, CygoLite, for a warranty repair or exchange. The manufacturer has a simple form with no option to upload images and nothing more than a simple description field. It's been three days and I haven't received a reply. My loss, but you can be warned. If they do and offer help or an exchange, I'll update this comment. But I think because of this form of warranty representation there is little interest on your part in redeeming, repairing or replacing the warranty. After all, it's been less than a month since I bought it and only charged it once. I tried opening it to reattach the cable but that proved impossible. I suppose I might as well cut it open and get a loose cap that I'm sure I'll lose. I warn you.
