The packaging says "non-hardening". Other sealers are also talking about this, so it's not uncommon. Except for this product, it does NOT actually cure. I tried using this as a glue to glue two pieces together. After a day I pulled the parts apart without the sealant noticeably curing. Then I squeezed out a little to keep track of a few days. By the second day she had only scratched and was still sticky under the skin. By the fifth day it was completely "cured" and was still dirty and easily torn. This is definitely a unique product as I have never seen anything like it. It may be particularly good for some applications where other sealants aren't as good, but as far as those applications go I have no idea. After breaking adhesion I ran and bought some JB Weld Black RTV. With this I glued the two parts together, also I squeezed something out with Versachem. After about 4 hours JB Weld had cured and become solid although it remained flexible and did not cure like most other sealants I have used.
