Review on 🌞 SUNLU Additive Manufacturing Products with Enhanced Filament Compatibility by Justin Miller

I just received my Sunlu S1 and put it to the test right away. Living in the Northeast usually means hot and humid summers. I store all my filament in airtight dry boxes with a mini dehumidifier that works pretty well. However, we recently had a storm and a power outage that lasted 8 days! I had a spool of filament with every printer and never put it back in the dryer box. PLA on one, PETG on the other, and ABS on the third. 8 days in hot, humid weather. ABS definitely shot. PETG showed some signs of becoming a bit brittle and PLA cracked from time to time during printing so all three had issues. The S1 Dryer Box came out for testing. I did PLA 6 hours at 50, PETG at 50 for 8 hours and ABS at 55 for 10 hours. Also place a few bags of desiccant in the middle of the coil. Well I'm happy to report that all 3 test threads showed noticeable improvements. ABS is now quite usable again, PLA doesn't tear and PETG seems less brittle. Well done Sunlu for making a good product that does what it says on the tin. Large, easy-to-read backlit display. Protects the filament from dirt and dust. An added bonus is the spool holder, which allows you to print straight out of the dryer. Also allows you to get rid of the spool holder on top if you have one and kill two birds with one stone. Fairly smooth reels compared to most factory spool holders. Dry while printing and improve filament trajectory by side feeding it into the extruder. I'm not getting rid of my dry box anytime soon as it has 18 spools of filament, but I will be ordering a few more S1s as I plan to use one on each printer. A great way to upgrade an old filament and then start printing right away. Overall a great easy to use dual purpose product.
