It should have been 1 star. The story is almost ridiculous. This is because Revain's website and product description states that you can download their app on Google Play. I am using a Samsung S20 and there are several Laview apps on Google Play but none of them are suitable for R3 security cameras. I decide to download each app hoping one of them will work, but the setup steps don't follow the paper instructions. After hours of fiddling with internet settings and a few apps (and each one keeps you logged in). Nothing. I go to YouTube to install videos. Each video is filmed by an Apple user, the company's official video is also from Apple. So I say he is let me try this on my old iPad mini. The App Store finds the app right away and I can set up the camera from my iPad. But I want to see her at work and when I travel, and I want to use my cell phone. I called tech support, got an answering machine. I go to laview official website and click on the google play icon for the app I need. That does not work. I decide to give up defeated. I have decided to reconfigure some Smart Life Wi-Fi sockets with my new internet settings. I choose a WiFi socket. Follow the instructions to add a new device. and guess what happened? It finds and adds the Laview camera! Then I notice that the Apple Laview app and the Smart Life app are almost identical. I was able to get the Laview cameras working using the Smart Life app on Google Play. After 24 hours the support service did not call back. Here's a lucky coincidence. and now that i can see/use the cameras they are awesome! I was ready for that 1 star but I have to admit the quality and features are pretty good. Night vision is clear, but there's a lag in image adjustment when the light is turned on. The image quality is good overall. The sound quality in the speaker is normal. Haven't looked into motion detection yet. But seriously LaView. Clean up your action, Android users don't have to accidentally discover an unrelated app that works with your cameras. I don't recommend this for Android users unless you are using the Smart Life app. Just pretend your instructions say to download the Smart Life app and the steps work exactly the same.
