General Purpose Fans. They don't stand out for air volume, static pressure, or noise levels, but the LEDs on the fan get unnecessarily hot. If the fan isn't running at full capacity, the LEDs will generate enough heat to cause a problem, defeating the purpose of a fan in the first place. I wish these fans had a version without those bright LEDs or a switch to turn the LEDs off. There are many great alternatives (for a little more money) and I've decided not to repeat them here. I actually destroyed one of the UpHere s just to see if there was an easy way to kill the LEDs and couldn't find a way. Fan performance and reliability are pretty important, so these days I just pay more and use the Noctua Redux range chosen for the situation (they offer high static pressure or very quiet, high air volume options).
