I have five bikes and all with leather saddles ranging in age from two to 45 years. In recent years (I'm in my 70's and a very experienced cyclist) I've found it increasingly difficult to sit in the saddle for more than an hour, even on my fully personalized early 70's Brooks Professional bike that I've had for centuries ridden. Thought I'd give the Cambium a try as it might have enough "boom" to allow me to ride comfortably for longer. This saddle did NOT solve my specific biomechanical problem. On the other hand, I put a saddle on my mountain bike that I ride frequently when it gets wet and I find it works well for an hour or so, especially when changing your position over rough terrain. The advantage of this saddle is that it won't break if you take it on a bike rack during a downpour. So I ruined the leather saddle. For a lighter individual with regular, balanced cycling movements, this saddle performs as well or better than any non-leather saddle in my opinion.
