This is a full featured Android 4.4 phone!. Supports 3G. WiFi works great. I'm surprised how accurate the virtual keyboard worked. I had to enter my Wi-Fi network information and use a tiny virtual keyboard. Read the short "manual" included in the package (not an actual manual, but a printout). This is a MUST and then watch the YouTube video (v=wpOR4zFBFwY). Here's how to turn off the phone after turning it on. I guarantee you that no layman can figure it out just by playing with it. (The printout indicates that the watch must be turned off before inserting the SIM card). I use a prepaid H2O SIM for WiFi ($1 at BestBuy) and the signal strength is excellent (activate the SIM before installing it in the watch). I've played around with this $30 2G smartwatch before and it was a piece of junk, the battery life sucks, it hurts to get a cellular signal (the only provider I've found is Speedtalk through TMobile - SpeedTalk is fine, but TMobile 2G networks absolutely suck). Plus 2G will be phased out later this year. H2O is powered by AT&T and has good signal strength in my area. The mobile app for parents (AIBEILE) has all the features I need to control my phone (and yes, it's a Chinese app, but I'm not hysterical when Chinese spies try to kidnap my child :P) My only concern is how secure they servers are. But it looks like they are aiming to become a stable company with a long term vision and I think they are thinking about data security. Anyway, I allow my kid to use it only during the day and he has almost no privacy during that time. The battery also seems to last well considering the size. Even with Wi-Fi on for a few hours and constant fiddling with it, it only dropped from 97% to 77%. Will update regular usage statistics once used. But if you're looking for a smartwatch for less than $100, this should be the one for you. ******* Edit 2019-06-04 ******* I cannot praise the phone's data usage and H2O plan enough. (Deposit of 10/90 USD per day) I made my decision. Almost 3 weeks later with mobile data enabled, the prepaid balance of $10/$90 is still $8.88. We even made a few phone calls with the watch. The watch seems to have really optimized its data usage as I track its location and steps with a pedometer every day. However, with data on, it needs to be charged every night or it will turn itself off around noon the next day.
