Review on LIFTMASTER 144C56 Chain Cable Idler Pulley for Garage Door Openers - Black by Shane Yay

I purchased this part to replace an identical defective one on my new garage door opener. While the part itself is fine, I wanted a longer term solution as the reviews say they were just not built for their intended purpose. My 5 star rating is based on the fact that this part is a genuine replacement part. Nothing wrong with that, it's just that it wasn't built to last. First, the manufacturer had to make this part out of metal. I bought another pulley made of a different material that would last longer (a 2.5" nylon pulley with a 0.25" ID stainless steel bushing). I ended up using a different pulley. and save this part in case one breaks. I had to buy a 5/16" bolt, washer and nut to hold the pulley in place since the center diameter was smaller, but so far so good. I just wanted to help some of you with the same problems as me!
