Availability The part arrived quickly and the opener was fixed in 15 minutes. I really wish there was a metal option for this part though, as plastic construction is a potential route to failure for something like this. This is not due to the seller, but to the manufacturer (Liftmaster/Chamberlain).

It broke right after first use. However, I believe it was my own fault. I didn't position myself properly. I got a new one, lined it up correctly and it seems to be working fine. If I could get one made of metal, it would probably withstand my mistakes. The one I had before lasted 13 years. He looked the same. I can't complain about that. I might also add that we have it on the gate, not the garage door.
