Smart idea but it just didn't work for me

This product is a smart idea. In my case it didn't reduce the squeaking in my floor. I have a #2 maple floor with a 3/4" OSB subfloor. The maple floor is loose in several places. I can stand on two adjacent boards and feel them move relative to each other as they squeak. I went under the dirt and saw my sub floor is glued to the floor joists. I don't think my creaking is from the sub floor, I think it's from the loose floor. I read the instructions and went to work. I have a few Tried screws in an inconspicuous spot to get the right rail size. I then drilled pilot holes in each board and screwed the screws in place. I screwed three screws into each individual board. The screw heads broke off as expected. When I finished I was disappointed to find that the squeaking continued. These screws are designed with two different thread pitches and are designed to securely fasten the subfloor and hardwood floor match. I believe the reason for this is that the screw head gives the screw most of its holding power, in which case the screw head breaks off. This may work better with different types of floors/subfloors e.g. B. Oak flooring over 1 inch plywood. However, this will not work with a maple floor over an OSB subfloor.
