When carving and planing, the straight grain brings no surprises.
This is a really good product. Straight fibers, finely serrated, without knots. For those who do not understand how much a linden tree costs, I added a photo of myself to help. The round metal on a piece of wood is a quarter of a US dollar. A standard sized can for a vending machine. The word "large" in the product description is misleading for those just starting out in buying basswood.
