These are heavy duty pads. They stop you 20-25% sooner than OEM, which is great for my suburb, especially since I have a wife and two kids living in the house. In my opinion, this is just an additional insurance. The downside is that they generate a lot of dust and can squeak from time to time if I've repurposed my old hardware. So get new equipment. The squeaking went away with the new factory clips when I put on replacement pads.
